Last month I got the invitation for the most relaxing event: the Rituals Slow Down Sessions in Amsterdam. I was very excited when I got the invitation as Rituals is one of my favorite skincare brands. Plus I love the city Amsterdam. I was once in Amsterdam few years ago and wanted to revisit this pretty city again. The excitement was huge about this three day event, which was held in the beginning of the last week.
Day 1
On Monday I was picked up around 7 am and got dropped at the Vienna Airport. My flight was around 9 am just in case that I don’t miss anything of the program Rituals has planned. When I arrived at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, the lovely Rituals team was already waiting for me at the arrival gate with big blue and red balloons. I was welcomed with a lot of love. The team brought me and some other girls to the pretty hotel which is a sustainable green oasis in Amsterdam. When we arrived at the Hotel Jakarta, we were again welcomed by the team, got a cocktail and were brought in our rooms. My room was so pretty and I had a wonderful view at the pretty river. My yoga clothes for the second day’s yoga class were already provided by the lovely Rituals team. We had some leisure time till the program started and I used that time to shoot pictures with two other bloggers.
In the evening we all gathered to do a boat trip. At this moment I realized that there were in total 40 bloggers from all over the world (Dubai, California, Sweden, Ireland, etc..) invited. And I felt so appreciated to be a part of this trip. On the boat we got drinks served and we had a lovely view at the rivers of Amsterdam. After approx. 40 mins we arrived at the location, where the CEO Raymon Cloosterman was already expecting us. While we got dinner served, he told us more about the brand and it’s philosophy:
Happiness can be found in the smallest of things. We transform your everyday routines into moments of indulgence by means of beautiful and luxurious products. Enjoy a warm fragrant bath, a cup of speciality tea or do the dishes with a little more pleasure. That is what we are all about: enriching the little things in life with a hint of luxury. This true passion can be found in all our products.
I love how each of their product range has it’s own philosophy and message. I feel more connected to a brand when their product tells a story or has a message to share. After his speech we were introduced to the new product range which is called “The Ritual of Yalda”. And what can I say? I already love this range. When we finished dinner, we could get hand massages, personalize our own bracelet and necklace from Thomas Sabo, take pictures, get ourselves tea from the Tea corner and write down our wishes and put them into the wish box. After loads of chat and having a great time we headed back to the hotel.
Day 2
The second day we started our day with a one hour yoga class. After yoga we had breakfast and some time to change our clothes to get started for the workshops. There were in total three workshops planned. In the first workshop we got to know that Rituals was planning their hair product range since four years and now they are launching personalized shampoos and conditioners. Everyone can choose the elixirs based on their hair needs. The Shampoos and Conditioners will be free of silicons and sulphate. We could personalize our own shampoo in the workshop and I chose the smoothening and nourishing elixirs. In the second workshop we could do a Dosha test and find out if we are a Vata, Kapha or Pitta. I did the test and found out that I am a Vata, which is linked to creativity and flexibility.
After this workshop we could rest a little bit for two hours because in the evening there was a slumber party planned. In my room a Pyjama was already waiting for me. After two hours we gathered together again in out matching PJ’s and we were brought to the party location. The slumber party was held in a huge ship. The location was just AMAZING. There was a DJ playing the music, food and drinks were served and I had a great time there. Just when I thought that we are heading back to the hotel, the Rituals team announced that in the second deck there are surprises waiting for us. When I went upstairs, I couldn’t believe my eyes: a room filled with pink balloons, a make-up vending machine, popcorn, massage sections and a video corner. Rituals definitely knows how to throw the perfect themed parties!
Day 3
On the last day I woke up earlier, packed my stuff for the check out and did some breakfast. After the breakfast we had our last meditation class to slow down. And then we headed to the airport to go back home.
Rituals helps you slow down, to find happiness in the smallest of things. It is our passion to turn everyday routines into more meaningful rituals.
I feel so appreciated that I was a part of this amazing press trip. The trip was all about slowing down. We had meaningful workshops, meditated, did yoga in the morning, ate yummy and healthy food and got pampered a lot. We also learned how important it is to always find peace within ourselves and spend more moments where we can really be about ourselves.
