Who does not want a perfect winged eyeliner? For me an eyeliner is the most important part when doing Make-Up. Three years ago, I was struggling at finding the perfect eyeliner for me. At that moment I was using a liquid one from LÓreal. This liner always had a shimmery finish, so I took the challenge to find the most matte and the most black eyeliner ever that has been produced. I spent a lot of money and bought liners from Essence, Isadora, Douglas, MAC, Artdeco, etc and was never satisfied.
My first favorite Eyeliner:
I took the courage and decided to try the gel eyeliner from Maybelline. To be honest, first I did not wanted to use a gel liner because I was sooo comfortable using the liquid one. But trying the gel eyeliner was the best decision I ever made. It took me some time to get used to it but all I can say is that I have not changed my eyeliner routine since then.
I keep buying the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in “Intense Black – 01”. The gel liner costs € 8,95 (Bipa.at) and comes with a brush. With this brush you can draw thin to very thick line and it is perfect for beginners as well as professionals.
The quality of this product is really great, for this price you get the best pigmented gel eyeliner on the market. The color “Intense Black” is the blackest black of a gel liner. It sets in with a soft matte finish within a minute. With a single stroke it gives a rich, intense and pigmented black line. The liner is also waterproof and is very long-lasting.
The only negative thing about this gel eyeliner is that the texture dries out very quickly. So you have to be very careful that you don´t leave the product open for a long time.
My second favorite Eyeliner:
My second favourite Eyeliner is from Benefit and is called “they´re Real” push-up liner”. I always wanted to buy something from Benefit and thought, I should give this liner a try. I was very surprised by the simple application. It is the first gel-liner click pen – so everyone who has problems using a gel-liner should definitely try this one! It has the texture of a gel-cream eyeliner dispersed through a pen-style applicator (like liquid liner). The eyeliner costs around € 26,- (douglas.at). I fell in love with it because the application is easy and quick. It is super pigmented and has a beautiful matte black finish.
I would recommend this liner to anyone who prefers a simple application and would like to make a beautiful eyeliner. It is also waterproof and long-lasting. However, the only down side is that, it dries out fast after a few uses and that it comes out clumpy if you accidental release too much.
